Creating a User Friendly Website

Hundreds of thousands of people are online every day not just looking for products to buy, but also to research companies and see what they offer before they take the time to come in.
One very important element to keep in mind when you are beginning the development of your website is usability. Consider your products and services as well as your target customer demographic –younger or older, male or female –and then design your website around them all. Are important pages easy to find? Does the overall design enhance the information or consume it?
A good example of user friendly design is the eBay shop design . It is easy to distinguish the section for buyers and the section for sellers. Each category is clearly listed as are the sale items and the auction items. There is also a search option that allows users to look for specific items.
If you take the time to consider your customers and identify the sites functions –sales, information, or both–your site will not only be of great benefit to your customers, but it will be of great benefit to your business as well.
