World Maps are Still Cool

They remember seeing an over-sized atlas or huge globe in a library . These provide some of the first childhood understanding of the scale of the planet and the countless exotic and interesting places the world has to offer.
Technology has made it so much easier for the average person to obtain and manipulate maps.Today, many people have a GPS device in their car or rely on their smart phone or laptop to provide global positioning software and directions. There are sites on the web that provide customized maps for trips or class projects, just set the parameters, add a key and print.
People may encounter a variety of maps in the course of a day, from weather maps to a political alaska map to a map of a current military incursion in the middle east. While all these hold practical value in daily life, it is still the site of a world map that can make the pulse quicken and the imagination run with thoughts about all those cool places that that people dream of one day visiting.
